Workshop PresentationsButton UP Home Energy Saving WorkshopsFREE HOME ENERGY SAVING WORKSHOPS COMING TO THE UPPER VALLEY Want to reduce home energy use, but not sure where to start? Tired of cold or drafty spots around your house? Wondering what resources are available to help make efficiency improvements? You'll learn about all this and more by attending one of the free Button Up Vermont workshops taking place throughout the Upper Valley. Sustainable Energy Resource Group and other Home Performance contractors will provide homeowners with information on the greatest energy saving opportunities, finding and sealing air leaks, energy efficient actions that people can take now, health and safety concerns related to tightening your home, and where to find technical and financial resources to get started. The workshops are being organized by local town energy committees and are a first step to learn how to be most effective in reducing energy use and costs. The workshops are an information packed 2-hours and will start right at the times listed below. Doors open early to pick up educational resources and enjoy refreshments. Button Up Vermont was produced by Central Vermont Community Action Council, in partnership with the Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network (VECAN) and Efficiency Vermont. Funding is provided by the Vermont Agency of Human Services. SERG helped create the workshop and received additional support from Ledyard National Bank and GroSolar, to make this presentation available in Hanover, Lyme and Lebanon, as well as Norwich.
To find out more about these workshops, contact SERG at 802-785-4126, SERG@valley.net or www.SERG-info.org. To get information on Button Up and the entire list of Vermont workshops, go to: http://www.efficiencyvermont.com/pages/Residential/Home_Heating/button_up_vermont/
Solar Hot Water Workshop InformationBelow are downloadable documents from the June 8, 2008, Solar Hot Water Workshop organized by SERG and the Norwich Energy Committee (NEC), originally produced by the First Branch Sustainability Project. SERG and the NEC have launched a Solar Hot Water Challenge to get 50 solar hot water systems installed in one year. Federal, state and SERG (see our NEW SERG Energy Alliance page) financial incentives make solar hot water a good investment. Please use the information below to help you get started on your way to a renewable energy future. Keep us posted of your progress so we can add you to our Solar Hot Water Challenge list.
